In non-metal news, the NHL and NBA seasons are wrapping up. I mildly care about one of them. That’s all for sports, now back to Jeremy in the studio.

Full Terror Assault festival is happening in Cave In Rock, Illinois, and if you were wondering where the hell that is (as a native IL resident, I surely was), it’s basically in Kentucky.

New Vintersorg, I haven’t listened to it yet, so no spoilers. Album out June 30.

Here’s a new Accept song. I don’t think this is a legal upload, so I think you can find it on other streaming services if this goes down.

Nuclear Blast is going crazy this week. Here’s new Origin.

Vintersorg never did it for me after Cosmic Genesis but this one doesn’t sound too bad

  • tigeraid

New Accept sounds like Accept. It is the same. But it is a good.

    • Señor Jefe El Rossover

It is not the same. They’ve added a lot to their sound on this song that hasn’t appeared in the last three albums.

      • tigeraid

Once again, coming from a vocal fan and an instrument n00b. And I meant it as a compliment.

Kinda the way I feel about Sodom. Same as it ever was, but it was awesome.

  • Posted it last week, doing it again!

“The whole Kathy Griffin dismembered Don’s head thing is now involving metal bands for some reason.”

  • Señor Jefe El Rossover

    New Accept rules.

    • Treebeard, Father of Fangorn

      Do you… Accept it?

      • Señor Jefe El Rossover

        Wholeheartedly

  • Edward

    Lol, that Vattnet blurb.

    • AndySynn

“…people in your life that consistently let you down, the people around them down, and of course themselves down.”

      How meta.

  • Man, I would love to see a new Soilwork LP this year. Their 2015 effort was top notch. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sure hope that works out

    • The Tetrachord of Archytas

I feel like soilwork and in flames are on some type of reverse continuum where one gets better and the other….goes up in flames…

      • I am a rock solid fanboy of both. I would not be the correct person to comment on your comment, lol!

    • GoatForest

For a split second, I misread and thought you had written Slipknot. I’m sorry I slighted you.

  • Jack Bauer

The nba has been rather anti climactic this year. Everyone knew that it was gonna be warriors vs cavs, but they just swept their way through the playoffs without a single team challenging them except the one game boston won. Now Golden State is crushing the Cavs. I mean i fucking hate the cavs so this is nice but goddamn if it isnt boring.

    • Joaquin Stick

I pretty much gave up on the sport 6 years ago. I’ll watch March Madness if I have money in it, but I’m never excited to watch a game.

    • Janitor Jim Duggan

Try being a 76ers fan such a myself. I’m not even disappointed in their season, I’m just apathetic. At least we have the third draft pick.

      • Depechemodeisgangsta

They had a “Good” season at least compared to their last 4 years.
I like the Heat and they had a good second half and came up one game short basically to making the Playoffs and they could have give Boston a hard 1st round series.

    • Depechemodeisgangsta

I think it would have been interesting if Leonard from Spurs would have been healthy and not miss any games, because on the 1st half of the Warriors VS Spurs, Warrios couldn’t stop Khawi and he was on a roll in the post season, and he plays great defense, i still think the Warriors would have won, but it could have gone 6-7 games.

I don’t think Cavs will win this year, i believe this is the 7 straight finals for Lebron, at some point he must get tired, yesterday on ESPN they had this interesting stat, stating that Lebron was the slowest person in the floor, running at 4 MPH, counting all players who played over 5 minutes.

If I read that link to the Adult Swim guy’s twitter pix correctly, you either forgot or ignored Code Orange which whatever, they’re hardly my favourite. (In case of the latter: Ha-ha!)

In not really Metal, but damn good: Moor Mother is on that list as are, unsurprisingly, RTJ.

    • Joaquin Stick

I originally listed CO, not sure what sort of random synapse firings made me overwrite it. Eh.

      • themaleshoegaze

        No hard feelings here!

    • GoatForest

Eh, I’d rather to Agent Orange. Either the punk band or the Sodom album.

      • themaleshoegaze

        Same here.

  • Treebeard, Father of Fangorn

We ents rarely feel disappointment, and we never feel disappointment when Taake doesn’t play.

    • Howard Dean

Taake playing >>>>>>>> Taake not playing

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ7BQDR8sBs

      • Treebeard, Father of Fangorn

Noble Howard, this is truly a black gem born of dark origins. Beautiful and haunting. I believe the expression you humans use goes something like “every dog has their day.”

    • GoatForest

I don’t really get the hype around Taake. They do nothing for me.

  • Count_Breznak

That Origin track is rather bland…

  • The Tetrachord of Archytas

That Vattnet bit is such a bummer. It wasn’t amazing, but their last record, to my ears managed to blend some of that trendy black metal sound with post hardcore riffing, without actually getting to shoegazey or boring. This change up reminds me a lot of the awesomeness of the first couple hopesfall recordings transitioning to the jay Forrest years and sucking

  • Janitor Jim Duggan

Here’s some of JJD’s News You Can Use: The Isley Brothers and Santana are releasing an album where both artists have a half of the album. I don’t know how it will work but I’m just excited for new Isley Brothers stuff.

    • Joaquin Stick

I bet it will go… Smoothly

      • Janitor Jim Duggan

I hope it’s good. I always enjoyed the Isleys.

  • Treebeard, Father of Fangorn

In addition to your delicious news, King Stick, please allow this humble posting of the latest Radio Fenriz. Truly one of the humans whose works I await with great optimism. THROOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM

Former (downstate) Illinoisan here. Had no idea where the fuck Cave in Rock was.

  • Rick Chard

Hopefully Machine Head entered the Black Lodge and disappear for 25 years.

    • Maj. Garland Briggs

BOB could always use a new plaything.

  • Old Man Doom

Man, I love Vattnet Viskar, but this new sound ain’t it.
