News! Tours! Tracks! Teasers! Things!

Inanimate Existence has a few dates with Depths of Hatred, too bad I can’t read them because this poster is destroying my eyes.

The Faceless announced a small European tour.

We got a new song from Solstafir last week.

Trad doom band The Obsessed has a new album coming April 7, their first in 20 years. Here’s a new song.

      • Señor Jefe El Rossover

          • Señor Jefe El Rossover

    Corpus Christi? Why Corpus Christi?

  • Howard Dean

VOMIT REMNANTS. YES. Love the album title, “Hyper Groove Brutality.” Haha. Preview track sounds good.

Great brutal death metal band. When it comes to death metal bands, what Japan lacks in quantity they make up for in quality and diversity. Another favorite is the Japanese melodic death metal band Intenstine Baalism, who absolutely rip (in spite of their ridiculous Engrish name). Good shit!

    • RJA

I know really very little about brutal death/slam type stuff – I’ve really been enjoying the baalsebub record from last year though – where do I go from here?

      • Howard Dean

If you are relatively new to brutal death/slam, you can’t go wrong with exploring Disgorge, Devourment, Brodequin, Putrid Pile, and Internal Bleeding. That’s a pretty good brutal death/early slam foundation. After that I would check out Cephalotripsy and Vulvectomy for just straight up slam stupidity, Defeated Sanity and Wormed for techy slam, and Torsofuck for slam/BDM mixed with grind. From there, I would just look for “similar artists” to bands you like on metal-archives, and go from there.

        • RJA

Thanks man! As with every genre I’m sure there is a ton of shit – I remember hearing Devourment as a good example of the genre so i’ll start there.

          • Howard Dean

Check out their debut album, Molesting the Decapitated, and their 1.3.8. compilation.

            Choking on bile demo!!

  • Sir Ukkometso The Based

That new Solstafir song was pretty disappointing. Not feeling it.

INFERI!!! Dude, Inferi is one of my favorite bands. I’m so pumped now! I bought tickets for that Trap Them/Call of the Void tour today too. This new Call of the Void song goes hard:
