TMP: Drudkh, Lungs, Fallujah, and More!

Monday morning means more magnificent news.

Pelican is hitting the road with Inter Arma and Jaye Jayle.

Our Toilet pals in Lungs have a few West Coast and other dates coming up.

Incantation released a new track off their upcoming 10th album.

Septicflesh released a new track, which reminds me, why were none of you ever named Septicflush?

Drudkh kicks ass as usual on this new song off their upcoming split.

  • Janitor Jim Duggan

RIP David Z. I think Adrenaline Mob should hang it up out of respect for him and AJ Pero.

    • Dumpster Lung

I didn’t care for their music a whole lot, but this sucks really bad.

      • Janitor Jim Duggan

It does. I wonder how Trans Siberian Orchestra will fare withoit him.

    • Paddlin’ Rites ov Beargod

As disrespectful as it may sound, neither were essential at all. Hired thugs at best.
      It’s been a 100% Allen/Orlando show.

  • Dumpster Lung

Damn, somehow I missed all the news about Dead Cross until just now. GET HYPE.

Also, really looking forward to Tau Cross, which reminds me that I need to listen to that first album again. Haven’t heard it since it came out, but I really loved it (yet still forgot about it somehow).

    • themaleshoegaze

Aaarghh! Bring on that Dead Cross already + tour in Europe!

Exactly same experience with Tau Cross, should be good, though.

    • Ted Nü-Djent ™

New Tau Cross is all I care about this week

  • Here’s some Joe Thrasnkill-core for yall today

    • Bought this over the weekend, it brings the thrash as well as the core.

    • Joaquin Stick

      This ain’t bad.

    • Yo this is tight

    • NDG

      This is nice.

      Face Value by Phil>>>>>>>>>>>>
      No Jacket Required<<<<<<<<<<<

      • that’s fair. but any time i have trouble shakin’ my booty, “Don’t Lose My Number” comes to the rescue.

        • The Arm(KJM)

That and “Mama” by Genesis are his best moments.

          • “Mama” is wonderful. many folks hate on PC-era Genesis, but i’m young enough to think it’s okay 🙂

  • Señor Jefe El Rossover

The new Amon Amarth video actually doesn’t have any vikings in it.

    • Joaquin Stick

I was trying to make a joke, but it probably just made me look dumb instead. It wasn’t very apparent lol.

      • Señor Jefe El Rossover

To be honest, it was a bit of a letdown to not see any vikings in a video for the song “Way of Vikings”

Seriously, of all the songs on the new album to make into some weird gangster boxing match, you pick the MOST OBVIOUSLY VIKING SONG.

  • President Chester A. Arthur

I’m conflicted about Drudkh. They rule, but that one dude is a nazi. Or at least used to be.

    • hopefully you aren’t conflicted about a person used-to-being a nazi

      • Joaquin Stick

He still do, but he used to, too.

    • Howard Dean

Well, if you’re conflicted by that, definitely don’t listen to The Band. Despite their decades of popular soft rock hits rooted in storytelling and folklore, the ToH’s very own Odinn revealed that they were in fact a group of rabid racists who spread their hateful messages via songs like “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.” I’m waiting for TMZ or Gawker to pick up this lead, because this is a hot take and surely the legions of adoring fans (young and old) will now want to steer clear of these racist pieces of shit. No one is safe anymore! THE WHISTLEBLOWERS ARE COMING FOR YOU ALL!!!

      • The Arm(KJM)

        Joan Baez = Nazi?
        Whatever. That song kicks ass.

        • Howard Dean

Joan Baez and Robbie Robertson are like the Ilse and Karl-Otto Koch of American pop rock. They’ve been secretly turning American music fans into bigots for decades with their dog-whistle racism.

          • Brutalist_Receptacle

    • I’m pretty strict about that kind of thing, but “used to be” is infinitely better than “is”

  • Howard Dean

Haven’t been excited for too many releases this year, but that Drudkh/Paysage d’Hiver split is one of them. Two of the best atmospheric black metal bands in existence at the moment.

  • Señor Jefe El Rossover

Ministry and Death Grips just announced a tour. They’re coming to my area.

    • Janitor Jim Duggan

I wish they’d come near me

      • Joaquin Stick

        • Janitor Jim Duggan

Oh god that was bad phrasing.

    • more beer

They are coming thru here as well. But they are playing at the Live Nation owned venue which tends to be really expensive with their $9.00 beers.

      • Señor Jefe El Rossover

        Gah! Screw that shit

        • more beer

I am going to talk to a friend in El Paso who is good friends with Uncle Al and see if he can get me guest listed. That makes paying for beer less painful.

          • Señor Jefe El Rossover

Ha! Pays to have the right connects

          • more beer

That’s right it’s not what you know, but who you know.

  • TheGranulatingDarkSatanicMilfs

Didn’t like the new CoF song. Choirs rarely work in metal music

The new NIN on the other hand is great

  • Brutalist_Receptacle
  • Morbidly Obese Angel

I wish I could be excited about Incantation’s new album. Judging from the tracks released so far it sounds to me like the band is all out of ideas and is just treading water

That Drudkh track though, me gusta!

  • Lone Biker of the Apocalypse

“Amon Amarth premiered a new video. It’s about Vikings.”

Jeez, thanks – no spoiler warnings?

But thank you – this did make me do a spit-take chuckle 🙂
