Night Demon and Cirith Ungol Want You!

To support a great cause!

Back in 2013 California speed metal maniacs, Night Demon, started a non-profit organization called Metal Cares that, with cooperation from Merch Relief and YMCA, provides donations and aid to victims of natural disasters. Actions such as these really help to prove that not all metalheads are cold, heartless bastards and that we can be a great bunch of men and women that help our community and world.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Boss the Ross! This sounds fantastic! What can I do to help?” Easy! Around this time every year, Night Demon produces a limited edition shirt that you can buy. And I quote from the band’s website “We want to be upfront and clear with our fans that EVERY SINGLE PENNY DONATED TO PURCHASE THESE T-SHIRTS WILL BE DONATED TO THE YMCA to sponsor those less fortunate in our community!” Isn’t that great? You get a rad t-shirt and you know that all proceeds will go to those in need.

Here are a few of their past shirts:

2017 is proving to be a special year however, as the MIGHTY Metal stalwarts Cirith Ungol have gotten on board to help spread this message of charity and goodwill. This comes as a great benefit to the cause as the message will now reach a wider audience and it also provided the opportunity for this truly awesome shirt:

Gaze into the almighty GLORY!

Personally, I find this one to be the best shirt yet. You get Elric from the Frost and Fire cover, two happy children and Night Demon’s reaper dude all doing the YMCA dance. It is the perfect blend of metal, comedy and goodwill and, as I have mentioned already, all for a wonderful and charitable event. So I ask of you to show your support and donate now! Can’t afford the shirt or don’t enjoy it? Well, how about donating to a local charity in your own community and help those less fortunate than you in any way you can. Yeah, that’ll work.

From now until March 3rd this shirt will be available as a one time offer. Order it here. For more information regarding Metal Cares, check out Night Demon’s website  and facebook page.

Joke Amazon reviews for ridiculously expensive products can be pretty hilarious

I can either buy a car, or this thing that tells me it’s 10:30.

      Ok.

      That’s unfortunate.

    • Count_Breznak

      I couldn’t resist.

    • Dumpster Lung

That song actually has that whole “Call to Destruction” thing going on, where the viewpoint expressed in the lyrics is the opposite of its actual sentiment, so you DO care 😉

      • Count_Breznak

        shhh…
(Those rumpcloths are shirtstain material, tho)

  • more beer

There are so many things that the metal community can do to help. I set up a show for a friends birthday next week. Two weeks ago a drummer from our local scene passed away. He had a family and children. So a friend and myself. Spoke to the owners of the venue and will be setting up a donation jar at one of the merch tables. As well a the venue donating a dollar per beer sold during the show. To help the family offset the costs of his funeral. We also put on a show every year to help a dog rescue. Which raised $4000 last year. Plus got a bunch of dogs forever homes. We get a bunch of shit from most of the population for being metalheads. Giving back to the community helps people see us in a better light.

And that’s why you, more beer, are my hero!

      • more beer

It’s not about being a hero. It’s about helping those less fortunate.

        • Señor Jefe El Rosa

          And that’s a fact

    • GoatForest

      Nice, man.

  • tigeraid

Great bands and a great cause.

  • Simon PhoenixKing Rising

Ha. I’m definitely getting that shirt.

    Good stuff, Ross.

    • Señor Jefe El Rosa

What’s not to like about it?! Ordered mine last night!

      Thanks for donating Simon.
