Earlier this month, devastating landslides caused by monsoon rains took the lives of at least 140 residents of the Rangamati district in Southeast Bangladesh, destroying more than 5,000 homes and leaving rural villagers stranded without supplies or emergency relief. It’s a terrible tragedy, but Qabar Extreme MusicThe Rock Project DhakaMaximum Noise, and legendary Japanese tech death band Desecravity want to do something about it, and now you can too!

Although the Dhaka Metal Fest, slated for July 7th in the National Library of Bangladesh, was initially established to highlight the vast pool of talent inside and out of Bangladesh’s capital city, the focus has since shifted to a relief effort. To that end, the organizers of Dhaka Metal Fest just announced that all profit from the fest, which features not only the killer Japanese quartet but also a slew of notable Bangladeshi acts (including the absolutely ripping old-school death heads Severe Dementia) will go to benefit the victims of the landslides and fund further relief efforts.

So what do you have to do to support the people of Bangladesh and get access to a siqqq metal fest? Simply purchase a ticket! The instructions are a little complicated, so here’s the skinny from the Fest’s Facebook page:
